The CCLC's vision is: A community that respects people and planet, and inspires, supports, and sustains people to achieve their greatest potential.

The CCLC names these broad goals which are depicted below to achieve our vision:

• Support personal and societal transformation by working with people to create opportunities for participation and action in the world, and by working together to reduce isolation caused by poverty, race, class, age, educational background and geography.
• Expand opportunities for engagement with life, including new and expanded opportunities for access to lifelong learning and expression through the arts, our storylines, public forums, and experiences with the natural environment.
•   Strengthen our capacity to move beyond alignment around differences into identifying common goals for the broader good – for a healthy democracy.
